The Story

Grayson McDonough has no use for teal ribbons, 5k runs, or ovarian cancer support groups now that his beautiful wife Jenna is gone. But their nine-year-old daughter Sadie seems to need the connection.

When Annabelle Curtis, the beautiful cancer survivor organizing the memory quilt project for the Ovacome support group, begins to bring out the silly and fun side of his precious daughter again, Gray must set aside his own grief to support the healing of Sadie’s young heart.

But is there

American Adventure, ACFW, and a hint of what’s to come…

P1030224I’m home!

After ten amazing days in the USA, including attending the ACFW ~ American Christian Fiction Writers ~ conference in Indianapolis, I landed back in Melbourne yesterday morning to be greeted by my fabulous husband and wonderful daughters. I have a boatload of memories to process, stacks of photos to enjoy, and a good many posts to organise for my blog.

While at ACFW, I conducted 23 author interviews, connected with bloggers, publishers, and publicists, hugged many other authors I’ve longed to meet, and sadly missed catching up with a number of people who attended but we didn’t cross …

American Adventure ~ Part 5

ACFWGalaThe ACFW 2013 conference is officially over. What an event. What an experience.

As my passionate blogger friends will attest, we love sharing our love for story and books with each other, our friends, and family but they don’t always get it – our little obsession. The joy of being with  almost 600 people who love books and story as much as I do….priceless!!

Though it has been a whirlwind of interviews and meetings, the time has been amazing and such an encouragement. I have a mountain of highlights but for tonight here are a few for today:

American Adventure ~ Part 4

P1030152What a day!

It started with a wonderful breakfast with the DEBs crew ~ Beth Vogt, Olivia Newport, Katie Ganshert, and Dani Pettrey. We missed our fabulous Kelli Standish, though 🙁 Lots to share and laugh about, along with some vegemite tasting but only one of the four thought our national spread was palatable! I have some great photos of the taste testing to share with you all on my return although Katie might not speak to me again 😉

Breakfast was followed up with the first of my 19 author interviews for the day…yep, 19! I know, I know, …

American Adventure ~ Part 3

P1030108After a drive at his morning touching three American states, I arrived Indianapolis and the ACFW conference. What an amazing place to be amongst so many people who are as passionate about stories as I am…I think some, even more so!

Meeting my dear friend and roomie, Ronie Kendig was the absolute highlight of my day! On top of that gift, I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with Jamie Carie, who I got to know when she published her first novel, Snow Angel, shared hugs with Beth Vogt, Casey Herringshaw, Lisa Harris, Kellie Coates Gilbert, Jeane Wynn, Julie Gwinn, …
