Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My TBR I Predict Will Be 5-Star Reads

Top Ten Tuesday (2)

It’s another Top Ten Tuesday hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic – Books On My TBR I Predict Will Be 5-Star Reads – is a fun one, and one I’ve done without investing a whole lot of time thinking about, in that I’m choosing ones that come to mind quickly. Given the extensive nature of my TBR, I could have gone down a rabbit hole so I’m sticking with books I have bought in the past two months or are on the first 5 pages of my Kindle. Why are these likely to be 5 star reads…you can read my reasoning below!

I hope you find some new reads in this week’s list!

The Water Keeper Impossible Saints

The Water Keeper by Charles Martin ||  Um…Charles Martin! No need to say more 😉

Impossible Saints by Clarissa Harwood || This is easily a 5 star read because so many of my respected reader friends have told me it is so!

Hidden_Current Kings Falling

Hidden Current by Sharon Hinck ||  I’ve loved every one of Sharon’s excellent stories, especially her previous fantasy series, so I know this one will be just as good, if not better.

Kings Falling by Ronie Kendig  ||  Again…Ronie Kendig! Ronie doesn’t know how to write anything other than a 5 star read, plus, I may have already had the pleasure of reading this action packed thriller 🙂

The Morning Gift The Runaway Bride

The Morning Gift by Eva Ibbotson  ||  Another book my trusted reader friends have raved about!

The Runaway Bride by Jody Hedlund  ||  Jody’s novels are always brilliantly researched, are imbued with emotion, and are always thought-provoking. That’s 5 stars for me!

The Joy of Falling A Girl's Guide to the Outback

The Joy of Falling by Lindsay Harrel  ||  New Zealand!! I love reading stories set in countries I love and NZ is just over the ditch, as we say. Lindsay writes meaningful women’s fiction and while it’s not a genre I always seek out, I know this one will be stellar.

A Girl’s Guide to the Outback by Jessica Kate  ||  Australian setting, written by an Australian? This one’s a no brainer 😉

Selah Like Flames in the Night

Selah by Lisa T. Bergren  ||  I’ve been reading Lisa’s novels for decades, or close enough to, and there hasn’t been a bad one in the bunch. I have no doubt the conclusion of her Sugar Baron’s Daughters series will be just as excellent.

Like Flames in the Night by Connilyn Cossette  ||  Wonderful characters, ancient times, powerful storytelling. All hallmarks of Conni’s writing and a 5 star read!

Do you have any 5 star reads in your TBR?

  2. CHARLES MARTIN!!! Yes, I cannot wait. Impossible Saints – lovely cover! So moody. THANK YOU for listing KINGS FALLING!! <3

  3. Ooh, The Water Keeper sounds interesting!

    My TTT .

  4. I hope these are all a 5 star read.

  5. Goodness, what a beautiful bunch of covers! Honored to see SELAH among them. Right now I’m listening to HOW THE LIGHT GETS IN, which I think you recommended, and has to be a 5-star, even tho it’s ripping my heart to shreds. I don’t have a huge TBR list because I’m all audio, so when it comes time for the next, I see what my friends are raving about and go with that!

  6. LOVE Eva Ibbotson! The Morning Gift–and all her books–are five-star reads for me. I hope you enjoy it!

    • Thanks, Dedra – I plan on it. Great to hear you love her writing too. It will be my first Ibbotson book, but likely not my last given what you have said 🙂

  7. Oh WOW – thanks for the heads up! I didn’t realize some of these have already been released so I’ve downloaded the samples onto my Kindle and some are releasing soon – yeah!! Charles Martin – always, always, always! Connilyn Cossette – another winner! But I’ve also downloaded samples of Hidden Current and Morning Gift – these are genres I normally wouldn’t read – but now I think I’ll give them a try. Thanks for the info – that’s why I read your blog.

    • You are a delight, Pam, and I love that you are courageous enough to branch out from your usual genres. I’m humbled you do it on my recommendation. Hugs xo

  8. Pretty covers! I hope these books all turn out to be 5 stars for you!
