Hello all our avid readers, Necee here. I pray all of you are doing well during this stressful time in our world. As I know many of us are a little stressed right now, it is the perfect time to escape reality and find a good book to read. That Artsy Reader Girl’s Top Ten Tuesday fits perfectly with my “Spring 2020 TBR” for our Northern hemisphere friends. As Rel moves into Fall in the Southern Hemisphere, she may have some different picks. Hope this finds you well and puts a little joy in your life as we wait for some of these new releases, too!

Kings Falling by Ronie Kendig…After Storm Rising, I can’t help but have this second installment at the top of my TBR. If you love nonstop action, adventure, and intrigue you’ll love it. I just started my ARC and am hooked! It releases March 31st!

A Latte Difficulty by Angela Ruth Strong is the third book in her series The CafFUNated Mysteries. If you need a little humor (which we all do right now), this book will hit the spot. I have the ARC loaded and ready to read. I love the antics of Marissa and Tandy in their tea/coffee shop. If you love a good cozy mystery, this is joy in a cup!

Starfish Pier by Irene Hannon I would read for the cover alone! I can just breathe in that beachfront scene. I love Hannon’s mysteries, but am woefully behind in her romantic fiction reads. I’ve decided this is a must read this Spring (well, technically still winter here in Alaska.)

The Traitor’s Pawn by Lisa Harris is on my TBR as I just love reading her mystery and romantic suspense novels. This is a new series that has my interest peaked!

Stay With Me by Becky Wade is her newest series. I just read the novella Take a Chance on Me which peaked my interest to see where this series will be going.

Rel: I love Necee’s list, especially Kings Falling and Stay With Me, both I’ve had the privilege of already reading! Here’s some Autumn reads, I’m excited about!

Heartless by Tamara Leigh…this is an April release the lovely Tammy gifted me (and my book club members!) when she was visiting – blog post to come on that momentous event! I’ve already started and can’t wait for more of Mael’s story.

The Water Keeper by Charles Martin…well, it’s Charles Martin. No need to say more!!

Beach Haven by T.I. Lowe…my book club loved reading and discussing Lulu’s Cafe and I’ve been excited to read more of T.I.’s authentic and down to earth storytelling.

The White Rose Resists by Amanda Barratt…the rise and fall of Hitler has always fascinated me (and was part of my History major at university) so I’m interested in the factual account as well as Amanda’s exceptional storytelling gifts.

The Runaway Bride by Jody Hedlund…I love Jody’s novels and have been meaning to get to this one long before now. Looking forward to all she has to offer in this romantic and historically intriguing tale.

What’s your Spring (or Autumn) TBR look like?

  1. I’m looking forward to Stay With Me, The Water Keeper and The White Rose Resists as well. I’ve already read The Runaway Bride and it was lovely. I would add Before I Called You Mine by Nicole Deese, Start with Me by Kara Isaac and Masquerade at Middlecrest Abbey by Abigail Wilson to the list.

  2. The White Rose Resists sounds very interesting.

    My TTT .

  3. Thank you for including KINGS FALLING!! For me, I’m looking forward to Charles Martin’s new one and Tamara Leigh’s newest as well!! CANNOT WAIT!!!

  4. WOW – – some SUPER books on the horizon!! OK – maybe it’s just me, but with all this social distancing (which is totally as it should be) but it’s making me get “up close and personal” with more book reading time. Am I stepping out of my boundaries to ask if our world of great authors would ban together and offer one each of their library of books at .99 for a select period of time? This coronavirus has many of us homebound and now is a perfect time to offer a literary helping hand and a voice of encouragement to the reading populous to say with one voice “We are ONE in this – here is our way of saying WE CARE”. I know it’s no skin off my back to offer up a piece of your hard work. But I will add this personal admission – – I have never read any of Ronie Kendig’s books – not because she doesn’t seem like a talented author but because my spending budget for books only allows me so much, so I have to be very selective. But if there were a .99 cent “open window” then I could peruse some authors and genres that I sometimes have to pass up on. It’s just a thought – I’ve even got 2 rolls of toilet paper to offer in trade (lol)- anyway, thanks for the blog and I will end by quoting scripture – – “this too shall pass” – – we need to pray and ask God to heal our land.
