A Match Made at Christmas by Courtney Walsh

Synopsis:~

Hayes McGuire never believed the stories about a famous Nantucket matchmaker until she ropes him into taking over her duties while she’s off the island for Christmas.

So he enlists the help of the one person he can trust with this crazy scheme—his best friend, Prudence. Armed with a series of rules, a book of success stories and the promise of Christmas magic, the pair of old friends sets out to make a Christmas match.

Little do they know that magic doesn’t discriminate, and they soon find their years of friendship deepening into something more. Will Pru and Hayes ignore the electricity in the air between them or will there be more than one match made at Christmas?

My take:~

Many of you may not know this but I can be a bit of a Grinch about Christmas novels 🙂 My reading isn’t seasonal dependant, so to speak, but I know there are many readers who can’t wait to dive into the year’s new Christmas novels (waving to my sister, Jenni!!).

But now you have two Christmas novel reviews in a week or so from me! What is happening? It just so happens that two of my favourite storytellers have just released festive stories and I LOVED them! You can read my review of Jenny B. Jones’ The Holiday Husband here. And now for my thoughts on Courtney’s new novella.

The name Hayes captured me from the start! No idea why, but I love the unique name and Courtney’s hero lived up to its fabulousness (You can catch his brother, Hollis, in Courtney’s If For Any Reason). A Match Made at Christmas is fun, heart-warming, and Christmassy in all the best ways. Courtney has a gift for penning authentic characters and electric romance that remains endearingly sweet and with meaningful substance to leaven it well. She has perfected the friends to more trope!

Whether you are a fan of Christmas stories, or a bit more of a Grinch like me, make sure you add A Match Made at Christmas to your TBR for now or anytime in the year!

With thanks to the publisher for my review copy. I provide Author Support Services to Courtney. My opinions remain my own.
