Sometimes all love needs is a second chance.

Morning television show darling Emma Sutton has just been fired. The only way to get her job back is to find a holiday story to warm the coldest heart. So when her hometown of Sugar Creek, Arkansas, needs a Christmas event planner, Emma moves back, sure her story lies in the town’s desire to become a tourist’s holiday wonderland. The last thing Noah wants to do is work with the woman who broke his heart, but Emma’s desperate to prove to him that her bah-humbug ways won’t interfere with her work.Emma finds it’s more than the mistletoe drawing her back to Noah. Whatever they had is clearly not over, but Noah’s kisses can’t protect Emma from a past that won’t leave her alone. As the snow falls and the trees glisten, love will come to Sugar Creek. But will it come in time to make all of Emma’s Christmas dreams come true?

Enjoy this sweet, heart-warming Christmas story, book one in the series.

Necee’s take:~

“Find Christmas, Emma,” Mr. Peterson’s voice boomed like a heralding angel. “Find your Christmas.”

Christmas romance that melts your heart, Hallmark could learn a little something from Jenny B Jones. After searching a few Christmas type stories, hoping for that Christmas feeling, I ran across this entertaining story. It was enchanting from beginning until end, filled with humor, a touch of spice, and romance. I loved the chemistry between Emma and her ex-fiance, Noah that was a slow build, but touched my heart. I would consider it a clean read with a faith element, as the grandmas in this story like to use shock and awe. Honestly, they reminded me of my own Nana who loved to get a blush out of me. Sweet and sassy made them a fun part of the story.

“God had dropped her in a storybook village”

A Sugar Creek Christmas is a great introduction to this small town series, in which Jones writes intriguing and hilarious mysteries. The characters are quirky, fun, and lovable. The setting is small town perfection. The story is thoroughly entertaining. It was a beautiful reminder of the miracle of Christmas. I definitely wish I had started this one first, but all the books could be read as standalones. Another amazing thing about Jones is how she can make a novella feel like a full length novel. I never would have guessed this was one with the depth of the characters and heart issues. It ended on a sweet note…and another sweet thing about it is her latest Christmas in Sugar Creek story was just released! I can’t wait to dive into The Holiday Husband (Book 3).

I read His Mistletoe Miracle (Book 2) last year and was absolutely enchanted by it. It’s Wiil Sinclair’s story and if you want depth, a pretend relationship, and the magic of Christmas, you’ll want to read all of the Sugar Creek Christmas series. This town will show you the magic of Christmas, daily life, and those special relationships that put a smile in your heart.

The books listed were my personal copies or borrowed under my Kindle Unlimited account. All opinions are my own and given honestly.
