I didn’t know what to expect when I picked up this novel with the David James Warren trio. However, Cast The First Stone took me on a rollercoaster ride of suspense and adventure that gripped me from the beginning to the cliffhanger ending. Even more exciting is this is the first book of this breakout series with Rembrandt Stone. It will have you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next chapter. Gripping and heartfelt, the characters are gritty, yet heartwarming, and dedicated to family and justice. Rembrandt is a true leading man still grappling with not being able to solve cold cases in his career. Eve is an engaging leading lady with a nose for tearing apart a crime scene for leads. I loved their passion for justice and heart for each other. They are an incredible team that I can’t wait to see what happens with them in the rest of the series. Pure awesomeness.
