ON WRITING…

Please share some of your writing/publishing journey with us.

I’m a lifelong lover of the written word. It got serious when I took a college fiction-writing course–this was, I think, around 1986–and finished a Christian young adult novel and sent it to Bethany House. They expressed interest, but eventually turned it down (surprise surprise). Which made me wonder what it would take to make my work publishable. Why didn’t I wonder that before I sent off a manuscript, you ask? I have no idea. I wrote to a published author to ask that ignorant question, and she encouraged

And If I Die by John Aubrey Anderson

Mose Washington and his young charge, Bill Mann finds themselves at odds over many things despite the bond forged through fire years before at the scene of his mother’s murder. Bill is determined to pursue his love of bull riding while Mose puts his energies into prayer and love for the boy he calls his grandson.

Missy and Patrick Patterson’s devotion to each other is unwavering. Pat is Head of the Philosophy Department at North Texas State University and Missy soaks up Mose’s wisdom and chafes at Bill’s choices.

Estelle Bainbridge continues her search for Mose and Bill, exerting her significant influence as a Congresswoman towards one goal – the location of Mose and Bill to exact her chilling revenge. The evil that lurked beneath the waters of Cat Lake back in 1945 is poised to strike again without mercy.

John Aubrey Anderson’s extraordinary gift of writing does not waver

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

John grew up in Mississippi cotton country. After graduating from Mississippi State, he received an Air Force commission and has recently retired after flying twenty-eight years for a major airline. He lives in Texas with his wife, Nan.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

And If I Die is the third book in the Black and White Chronicles. The first was Abiding Darkness (August, 2006), the second was Wedgewood Grey (February, 2007).

In 1945, a spirit voice told Mr. A. J. Mason to “Be ready.”

In 1960, the spirit drew near and said the same words to the same man. “Be ready.”

On both occasions Mason ended up in bloody battles with the forces of evil. On both occasions, he saved the life of a young girl named Missy Parker.

Interview with Catherine Palmer

Catherine Palmer has long been a favourite author of mine ~ from the time I picked up Finders Keepers! Catherine’s delightful stories all have a home on my bookshelves.

Catherine has taken the time to share her thoughts with us:~

ON WRITING…

We have recently seen collaborations like yours – what inspired you to join forces?

I feel that the Lord brought us together to write THE FOUR SEASONS OF MARRIAGE fiction series. Dr. Chapman and I first met by Divine appointment on the floor of a huge conference center. When we discussed the concept of illustrating his messages about marriage with a fiction format, we both felt comfortable. Our publisher, Tyndale House, was thrilled to pair us. Working with Dr. Chapman and Tyndale has been a dream come true.

In practical terms, how did the writing between you come together?

Dr. Chapman and I discussed the characters and

This is here to stay!

Ok, I don’t care now if you hate this – if you are my friend you will say it is the most beautiful blog in the world!! I don’t mind if you lie – LOL!!! Don’t ask about the trauma this change has caused – it has not been as good as a holiday!!! You know when you get the feeling you should have just left things as they were!

I just couldn’t get a three column skin to work ~ sigh!

My undying thanks goes to Bonnie (of CFBA fame!) who has been the most patient and understanding computer whiz I know! Thanks Bonstar :)
