Here’s a sneak peek at a the first in the new Mercy Hospital series by Candace Calvert.
Here’s what Candace says:~
“If you’re a fan of TV medical drama, a reader who enjoys charismatic characters, action, humor, heart-warming romance–and an encouraging message of hope, you’re in the right place.
Think: Grey’s Anatomy finds its soul!“
Sounds good, don’t you think? I know my sister will be dying to get her hands on these books…….won’t you, Jen?!
Critical Care by Candace Calvert
After her brother dies in a trauma room, nurse Claire Avery can no longer face the ER. She’s determined to make a fresh start–new hospital, new career in nursing education–move forward, no turning back. But her plans fall apart when she’s called to offer stress counseling for medical staff after a heartbreaking day care center explosion. Worse, she’s forced back to the ER, where she clashes with Logan Caldwell, a doctor who believes touchy-feely counseling is a waste of time. He demands his staff be as tough as he is. Yet he finds himself drawn to this nurse educator . . . who just might teach him the true meaning of healing.

Rel, I just re-read your comment on the Girls Write Out blog. I brought up your info and noticed North & South is one of your favorite movies. I just finished watching that today! I have enjoyed every mini-series I have seen that is based on Elizabeth Gaskell's writing.

Hi Barb – thanks for dropping by. I tried to comment on your blog but the word verification would not load 🙁
North and South is one of my ALL time favourites. I have watched it about 5 or 6 time 🙂 Love Richard Armitage ;-0 Have you seen the BBC’s Robin Hood series or Cranford?
We are very similar on our views on Wii. We purchased one for hubby’s 40th last year and it has been a real hit with the whole family loving it, together 🙂

I watched Cranford just recently. It was excellent! My husband has it written on a slip of paper in his wallet so he knows what to buy me sometime. I have not seen Robin Hood, but will have to look for it.

You are welcome, Candace 🙂
Barb – Robin Hood is different as it is more Princess Bride with a modern take but still in the period setting. Humour and political comment abound. I mentioned it because Richard Armitage plays Guy of Gisborne 🙂
