First, I have to say, being an Air Force veteran and having married my AF sweetheart, this story touched my heart. There are not enough Air Force veteran stories and I found this one to be sweet as American pie. I loved the references to a certain military pilot movie that had romantic and humorous elements. There were equally serious moments of dating and marrying someone in the military that were well worth addressing. I loved how this romance developed, especially for a novella. Wade has a way of addressing serious issues in the midst of sweet romance. I’m really looking forward to Sam’s story! If you love quick reads and anything Becky Wade, you’ll love this novella that brings out the hometown feel of Misty River with a close knit military community nearby.
