Here’s to another Top Ten Tuesday brought to you by That Artsy Reader Girl. Again, sooooo many books I could list that fit into this topic, not because they aren’t stellar stories but with the overwhelming number of books available, readership is sometimes hard to find. I thought it would be fun to have actual photos of books from my shelves so I went browsing on my many, many bookshelves and pulled these ten books, guaranteed to bring enjoyment to readers who love their genres.
I’m really loving how these Top Ten posts are taking me to my shelves and giving me the chance to hold and remember why I love these books. There’s always something magical about selecting a book from a shelf – whether it be at home, in a library, or in a bookstore – feeling the weight of the book, the author’s words, and the story within.
Hope you find a few here to add to your own bookshelves today!
Books I LOVED
With Fewer Than 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads
Bring a box of tissues when you read [easyazon_link identifier=”1502340038″ locale=”US” tag=”relzrevi-20″]This Quiet Sky[/easyazon_link] by Joanne Bischof – such a tender coming of age story that will take your breath away
I always imagined Russian tennis player, Marat Safin, when I pictured FSB agent, Viktor Shubnikov, in Susan May Warren’s [easyazon_link identifier=”0373785445″ locale=”US” tag=”relzrevi-20″]In Sheep’s Clothing[/easyazon_link], a fast paced romantic suspense set in Siberia
Jamie Carie’s debut historical romance, [easyazon_link identifier=”0739494201″ locale=”US” tag=”relzrevi-20″]Snow Angel[/easyazon_link], is hard to find now by worth it for the romance that blooms in Alaska, between Noah and Elizabeth
Gosh, I loved the Bug Man novels SO much! Tim Down’s forensic entomologist, Dr. Nick Polchak, is one of my all time favourite characters – super smart and wickedly awkward – and [easyazon_link identifier=”1582293082″ locale=”US” tag=”relzrevi-20″]Shoofly Pie[/easyazon_link] is just the first in this excellent series
I fell in love with Ronie Kendig’s writing from the start. One of the best debut novels I have read, so if romantic suspense and international intrigue is your thing, [easyazon_link identifier=”B01LXP3Y8I” locale=”US” tag=”relzrevi-20″]Dead Reckoning[/easyazon_link] is a must read
Gut-wrenching and confronting, Amy Matayo’s [easyazon_link identifier=”B019O6C558″ locale=”US” tag=”relzrevi-20″]The End of the World[/easyazon_link] will grab hold and not let go. The tag line says it all – A desperate boy. A damaged girl. And a dark house filled with secrets.
Robert Liparulo is a supremely talented writer – [easyazon_link identifier=”B006IED9FA” locale=”US” tag=”relzrevi-20″]Deadfall[/easyazon_link] is a clean and intense thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat
[easyazon_link identifier=”1935929356″ locale=”US” tag=”relzrevi-20″]The Restorer[/easyazon_link] is the first in a four book speculative series that is out of the box and excellent reading. As you can see my copy is well loved! These novels have been repackaged with new covers and well worth your investment
Another spec novel by the ever talented Karen Hancock, [easyazon_link identifier=”B00B5MLZK6″ locale=”US” tag=”relzrevi-20″]The Enclave[/easyazon_link] is an intriguing foray into genetics, adventure, and romance
As you can tell by the ravaged spine, [easyazon_link identifier=”0849943450″ locale=”US” tag=”relzrevi-20″]The Canopy[/easyazon_link] is one well loved novel. Angela Hunt takes you to the Amazonian rain forest with an intriguing balance of science and faith as a mother searches for a cure for herself and her daughter
Any favourites you have with under 2000 Goodreads ratings?

Oh how I love this post! You are reminding me of some of my old favorites…books that I need to go pull off the shelf and read again!!
Thank you! 😉
Rosalyn » Yes!! Do you have a favourite of these you have read?
The Restorer does sound interesting.
My Top Ten Tuesday post.
Lydia » It certainly is! Thanks for sharing your TTT link.
Wonderful post! I have Snow Angel on my Kindle but haven’t read it.
I found a few books that I enjoyed with fewer than 100 reviews on Goodreads:
Feast for Thieves by Marcus Brotherton (56 reviews)
To Know You by Shannon Ethridge (51 reviews)
Redneck Debutante by Jenny Hammerle (11 reviews)
Northkill by Bob Hostetler (26 reviews)
Playing Saint by Zachary Bartels (62 reviews)
Staci » I have Playing Saint and To Know You….must read soon on your recommendation, Staci!
Lots of great variety in your list, Rel! I’ve read This Quiet Sky, Snow Angel, and The End of the World; all wonderful reads! The Canopy sounds like it has such an interesting premise. 🙂
Here’s my list!
~Amber
Amber Holcomb » I think you’d love The Canopy, Amber – it’s an older book but one that has always stayed with me. Great to have you visit xo
The Everstone Chronicles (5 books) by Dawn Crandall. Each book has under 2000 ratings and I love every one.
The Lady and the Lionheart by Joanne Bischof
The Love in Lenox series (3 books) by Nicole Deese.
The Stones Cry Out by Sibella Giorello. I would love to put the whole series in here, but the post asked for only 10!
Sylvia M. » I love all those books, too!! Most of what I read has under 2000 ratings on GR, so it was hard to narrow it down. I just scanned my shelves and pulled out the first 10 that caught my eye!
I haven’t read any of these! Didn’t realize Robert Liparulo had another book. I read a few of the House of Dark Shadows books and really liked them.
Dianna » Oh, yes! He has a number of adult thrillers. They are fabulous – look for Comes A Horseman, Germ, Deadfall and Deadlock. Enjoy!
Wow! Love your Top Ten Tuesday List! “This Quiet Sky” – this book made me a forever fan of Joanne Bischof! And I’ve just recently became a fan of Nicole Deese. And I will admit that I’ve not read anything by Ronie Kendig (I can see the shocked look on your face Rel – lol) so if I’m going to take the plunge – is “Dead Reckoning” the one you would suggest?
