Synopsis:~
Emma Mitchell may enjoy sprinkling romance into the lives of others, but her own plans involve a single first-class ticket to culinary school in Europe.
When her best friend, Jon Noble, suddenly moves back to Ransom, Emma’s fairly certain her life can’t get any better…until her matchmaking schemes nosedive, her culinary future falls flat, and a life-long friendship begins to teeter on the brink of something unexpected.
With a little inspiration from Jane Austen’s classic and a touch of Blue Ridge charm, will Jon and Emma discover that what they need the most may be the last thing they’re trying to find?
Necee’s take:~
If you want to read about the perfect hug and all the hometown feels, this book is for you. Pepper Basham’s love of family will wrap around your heart and have you yearning for family and running for home. Truly inspiring family connections. A love for God that is deep and wide. Her interwoven faith in Jon and Emma’s lives is so beautiful and real it will zing your heart. Jon’s struggle with grief and running away versus working through it spoke to my core of grief. Mama Mitchell will draw you home with her home cooking and love of family. The thing I love about A Match For Emma is how Pepper deals with those prideful and arrogant areas in our hearts as Christians, how we overlook those areas and take our faith for granted. She has a wonderful way of bringing out sins and helping the reader see how beautifully God can orchestrate healing from the midst of that sin. Truly inspiring, beautifully romantic… It’s like a warm hug with a certain someone on a sunny afternoon out on a porch swing. If you want a beautiful coming home story, this is it. Family, community, faith and romance… Along with a strong desire to visit her hometown.
Ohhhh, and the hugs…oh those hugs will have you swooning over this best friend romance. If you want to know what a truly beautiful hug, and what comes after, feels like, then A Match for Emma is for you.

Necee and Rel,
THANK YOU so much!!! What sweet words, Necee! I’m so glad this book felt like a hug. I love hugs 🙂 IMO, Jon and Emma were adorable. The hardest part of writing this book was making sure I kept the romantic tension up since they start out as friends and slllooooowwwwly recognize the “more” in each other. But I ADORE their banter!! (and the epilogue…and the church kiss…and….well, you get my point 😉
