Abigail Wilson: This or That (with giveaway)

The Writer & her Book (19)

I love sharing about authors as you well know, but there’s something extra special about introducing a debut author. The release of your first book must be such a contradiction in emotions – excitement and fear, relief and worry. It seems Abigail Wilson has little to worry about with In the Shadow of Croft Towers garnering early praise and enthusiastic reviews. I’m honoured that Abigail is sharing with us today and I hope you enjoy getting to know her a little and adding her historical romantic mystery to your buy and wish lists! Thanks to Abigail, you have the chance to win a copy so enter below.

For now, congratulations on this wonderful achievement, Abigail, and over to you…

*****

Cake or Cookies

Definitely starting with a hard one! Hmm…I’ll say cookies, but I am definitely an avid fan of anything of the baked goods variety. Yum!

Call or Text

Text, unless the conversation is to be a long one.

Coke or Pepsi

Coke…I just might be addicted…haha!

Abigail

Eggs or Pancakes

Pancakes

Facebook or Twitter

There are certainly positives and negatives to both platforms, but I’ll say Facebook because in general I need more than just 280 characters to say anything.

First person or Third person

When done well, I just love first person, particularly in romance and mystery as the reader is kept guessing about the motivations of all the other characters.

Instagram or Pinterest

Instagram; however, I do love looking through other people’s Pinterest boards for what inspired their stories.

Marvel or DC

Marvel. I need comedy with my superheros, and well…Thor!

Paperback or EBook

I still prefer paperback; however, I digest tons of digital books and the portability cannot be beat.

Dogs or Cats

Dogs. I have a sweet rescue pup right now that has just stolen my heart.

Abigail's rescue pup

Summer or Winter

Summer. As a true Texan, I can’t seem to take too much cold weather. And I just adore swimming, water skiing, and the beach.

Sweet or Spicy

Sweet. I don’t really eat anything spicy, which is the complete opposite of my husband, but we make it work. J

Tattoos or Piercings

I’m definitely a scaredy cat so I doubt I could get myself to do either besides ear piercing. So, I guess I’ll say tattoos, just not on me. My sister has a few cute ones I like.

Tea or Coffee

Tea, with my favorite being Chai. I never have gotten into the whole coffee craze, but I drink enough tea (year round) to make up for it.

Thornton or Darcy

Oh no! I was dreading a question like this. #iheartthemboth

Today, I’ll say Thornton because, be still my heart, Richard Armitage in that BBC role was swoon worthy. But Mr. Knightley will always be my hands down all-time favorite hero.

Yoga Pants or Jeans

Yoga pants, of course.

Zoo or Aquarium

Zoos

Thanks for sharing, Abigail!

In the Shadow of Croft Towers

Croft Towers holds more than its share of secrets . . . and Sybil is determined to uncover them all.

When Sybil Delafield’s coach to Croft Towers was robbed by highwaymen, she should have realized that her new position as companion to old Mrs. Chalcroft would be no ordinary job. Upon Sybil’s arrival, Mrs. Chalcroft sneaks into her room in the dark of night, imploring her to relay messages to town that are to stay hidden from the rest of the family. Who exactly is she working for and what do the messages contain?

When fellow passengers of the robbed coach are later murdered, Sybil’s hunt for the truth takes on a new urgency. The only person she can rely on is Mr. Sinclair, Mrs. Chalcroft’s godson, but under all his charms he too leads a double life. Sybil must decide if he is the one honest voice she can trust, or if he is simply using her for his own advances.

With murderers, smugglers, and spies on the loose, nothing—and no one—in Regency England is what they claim. Can Sybil even trust what she knows about herself?Abbie Headshot
