Relz Reviewz Banners (72)

It’s been a while since I posted a newsy kind of post, so here’s a quick post with some fun news and fabulous releases. I don’t want my Relz Reviewz readers missing out!

Two brilliant storytellers I have the delight to work with released books this week. While their writing styles are completely different, their talent with words and characterisation make them must read authors for me and many other smart readers! Amy Matayo pens smart, gutsy, evocative, and swoony clean contemporary romance novels with heart, and Catherine West delivers gripping and emotional family dramas, driven by contemporary issues and struggles.

Ronie Kendig is hosting a BRILLIANT giveaway on Instagram – an EXCLUSIVE SIGNED Advance Reader Copy/Uncorrected Proof of BRAND OF LIGHT, her unbelieveably amazing space opera releasing in December. I’ve read this book twice now and I can’t put into words how much I love this story, its characters, and its world – and I’m not even a space opera fan! Here’s what Ronie has to say about the giveaway…

I’m hosting a giveaway of an EXCLUSIVE SIGNED Advance Reader Copy/Uncorrected Proof of BRAND OF LIGHT (Yes, a printed/bound copy). Only 10 of these were printed … and I had to beg, borrow, and squeal for a giveaway copy. That’s right!! It’s all 400+ pages, including not-yet-revealed maps of the planetary system and Drosero, Kersei’s homeworld. It’s so special, it probably has typos and mistakes that hopefully (Please, God!) won’t make it into the final book that goes to print (but then again, typos wear stealth armor, so maybe they will sneak past our well-edited lines).

Finally, Jody Hedlund, one of my favourite historical romance writers has released the first two books in her new YA medieval romance series, The Lost Princesses. They have a fairy tale vibe and appeal to more than just teens, although they are perfect for those looking for romantic yet clean and uplifting reads. The final two books release in September and November respectively and are available for pre-order now! Check out Always, Evermore, Foremost, and Hereafter now!

  1. So much excitement!!
I’m also not a space opera fan but I’m fairly certain I’ll love Ronie Kendig’s new book anyway. 😉
I just loved Ford and can’t wait to read Wyatt.
I also love Jody Hedlund’s new series, and so do my girls!! (It’s doubly—is that even a word…lol—fun to share these awesome stories with them!
Somehow I missed Amy Matayo’s newest one, I’m going on a hunt to find it right now!! 🙂
    Have a great day!

  2. All of these authors pen amazing fiction! I’m looking forward to reading all of these books and already ordered most of them! Great list, Rel 🙂

  3. I just finished As the Light Fades and loved it! Catherine is a fantastic writer, and I always enjoy her books. I’ve also loved all of Amy Matayo’s books that I’ve read. I haven’t read her last two, but I’ve got them on my list to read soon. Looking forward to Elizabeth’s new book and, of course, the rest of Susie May’s. I’ve only read the first one so far in her new series.

Thanks for keeping us up to date with all the bookish news, Rel!

  4. Thanks, Book Compass, for pointing me in the direction of these up and comers. Ronie and Susan May Warren’s were givens, but looking forward to checking out the rest.
