Finally getting to share the new covers and stories releasing from Bethany House Publishers in mid 2021. I’m not sure about you, but I find looking at new covers and reading about new novels heading our way is a good distraction and brings much joy!
The standouts for me are Tammy’s Love and the Silver Lining and Amanda Dyke’s Yours is the Night. And I can’t wait to read both of them as I love their storytelling style, just perfect for the genres they write in. And a hot tip from me! Word on the street is that Connilyn’s second Covenant House novel is nothing short of brilliant 🙂 I’m very excited to read it, too.
How about you? Which ones of these covers/novels spark your bookish interest?

Several here I look forward to reading but really like the eerie cover of The Barrister and the Letter of Marque.
January 19, 2021 at 7:58 am
It’s cool, isn’t it?
January 12, 2021 at 3:36 am
I think, cover-wise, On the Cliffs of Foxglove Manor and The Barrister and the Letter of Marque are my favorites. I’m really drawn to the somewhat muted color schemes of both and I love that Barrister has an overlay of a city map on the cover. Very intriguing! Story-wise, this is a great group of books I can’t wait to get my hands on! Of course I need Connilyn’s Cossette’s book asap. I’m also looking forward to the continuation of Becky Wade, Angela Hunt, Karen Witemeyer, Rachel Dylan and Jen Turano’s series that have been great so far. Also, a new series from Roseanna M. White is always something to get excited about and is going to be a release day read. They all sound great and I can’t wait to check them out!
January 19, 2021 at 7:57 am
So kind of all of them, Elizabeth 🙂
January 12, 2021 at 4:25 am

January 19, 2021 at 7:50 am
Right?!
January 14, 2021 at 5:27 am
Cover-wise – I really liked “Sustaining Faith”, “A Woman of Words”, “On the Cliffs of Foxglove Manor” & “Yours is the Night” – – on the flip side, the cover of”Between the Wild Branches” by Connilyn Cossette, was a huge disappointment. I am so use to her covers being so moving and this one just really fell flat. I think it looks too much like the last cover although I realize this one has a male lead character. There’s just something about the colors in the background and the character that all kind of blend together. Maybe I’m nit-picking because her covers have always been “WOW” before and this one just made me yawn.
However as far as authors and stories – – I’ll definitely be getting “Between the Wild Branches” – Connilyn Cossette is an amazingly gifted writer and I LOVE writing from which I gain more knowledge and a deeper understanding of biblical times. Her research is impeccable. Also based on her writing ability, I will be getting Becky Wade’s book “Let it be Me”. I’m also considering “The Nature of a Lady” by Roseanna White – sounds interesting. Thanks Rel & Necee for giving us a heads up of what’s on the horizon in reading!
January 19, 2021 at 7:49 am
Conni is an exceptional writer, I agree. This cover mirrors the cover of the first book, Pam. Have you seen them side by side? That’s the effect they were going for.
January 19, 2021 at 8:47 am
Well – – I have now looked at them side by side – and if a mirroring image was what they were trying to achieve then, “mission accomplished”. But – as a prospective buyer and if the cover was going to be a “draw” – then for me it’s “mission failure” – or maybe a better response would be “Houston, we have a problem.” Before, pre-Kindle days, then when I shopped for a book, the cover was a big factor but now as a Kindle reader, the quality of the author’s writing and story-line is the draw and the cover is only a side issue. I just think Bethany House could have done a better job than just mirroring the first book cover. Even though this story plays off the first book of the Covenant House Series, it is it’s own story and deserves it’s own look. If I were still a buyer of books by going to a brick & mortar store, I might over-look this book mistaking it for the first book in the series. Just my opinion, but I’ll definitely be buying it for the quality of the author’s writing style.

Here are my favorites my looking at the covers: Let It Be Me
The Nature of a Lady
Power Play
Sustaining Faith
