Cover changes……..

Two of Revell’s highly anticipated 2011 novels (certainly from my perspective!) have had a cover change. I have posted the new covers below with links to the previous ones. I’d love your thoughts on which covers you prefer:)

The new cover of Lynette Eason’s second Women of Justice novel, Don’t Look Back, has ditched the guy! I certainly prefer these colours to the original orange.

See previous cover, here.

And with the cover of Mesu Andrew’s tale of Job, Love Amid the Ashes, the male has been added! I’m not always a fan of faces on covers but this one appeals to me.

  1. for the Lynette Eason book, i don't mind the color change as it keeps it corresponding with the first book, and I don't mind the guy being taken off. the cover model looks like Lindsay Lohan though.

I like the new cover of Love Amid the Ashes. Like you, I'm iffy about faces but this ones looks well done and A LOT better than the first version

  2. Fascinating! I actually like hte girl from the first Eason book better. I am tempted to say I like the cover without the guy–but then, that guy wasn't bad looking and it definitely said it was a romantic suspense. So, I'm not sure.

And on Mesu's book–DEFINITELY like this one better. 😀

  3. I think I'm with Ronie. I like the girl on the first cover better. Something about the hair and facial expressions are off in this one. But then I do prefer the green color. I really like the cover of Love Amid the Ashes and am really wanting to read this one. Thanks for showing us these previews, Rel.

  4. I like Eason's first cover better. The cover looks odd to me. I think the new cover for Love Amid the Ashes is so much better.

  5. I like Eason's first cover better and Andrew's second cover is much better to me. It would interesting to know the reasons behind why the publishers made the changes.

  6. I like Eason's 2nd cover, as the woman looks more apprehensive of what is going on again. The first cover shows her involvement with the FBI agent, but but the trauma of the whole situation shows forth more in the second cover. That's what the book is initially based on and would draw me in.

I love the 2nd cover of Andrew's book. There's a tension there that doesn't appear in the first cover.

I would go with these two new covers.

  7. Prefer both the new ones.

  8. I have to say I do not like Eason's new cover. Strangely enough, I liked the orange better. Also the woman's hair on the first cover was much better too.

I love Mesu Andrews' new cover though. It's a book I'm really looking forward to.

  9. I think Mesu's new cover is much better. The first one didn't really express the story as much.
