No, I’m not turning my blog into a jewellery review site! My dear friend and writer, Jennifer Major, is officially launching her new website today and to celebrate is offering an AMAZING giveaway you won’t want to miss.
Nevermind that Jennifer is a red-headed Canadian, she writes heart-wrenching, stunning novels based on Navajo history that will surprise you. While still pre-published, I have no doubt her stories will find a home and you will all get to enjoy them. I’ve been privileged to read them and I can say that any wait will be worth it 🙂
Here’s a peek into her first novel….
A Dangerous Mercy (working title)
In 1864, Tsi’tnaginnie and his people are captured and held prisoner. Survival becomes a battle, but a more dangerous war is about to come. When the daughter of the camp commander seeks solace in the arms of a prisoner, certain death is the only guaranteed outcome.
But even in freedom, Tsi’tnaginnie’s life is precarious. Sold into slavery and badly beaten, he loses his memory and must fight to stay alive until he can find out who he is…and who the beautiful white woman is who fills his dreams, and calms his weary soul.
Anyway, jump on over to Jennifer’s blog to enter and find out more from this fabulous writer…who also happens to be hilarious! Just saying….
Jennifer Major is a Vancouver native, now living in Eastern Canada with her husband and four children. She’s travelled to Latin America several times, and hopped, skipped and jumped across Europe, once. She has written two novels based on Navajo history, and will complete her third this year.
Jennifer is also an avid reader and included in her list of favourite writers are Lori Benton, Laura Frantz, Tamara Leigh, Amber Perry, Catherine West and Charles Martin.

Lydia!! How cool!! I grew up near 64th and Oak, in Marpole, then moved out to Richmond when I got married. Do you love Vancouver? I miss it VERY much, but we think Fredericton will do just fine. Other than the SNOW.
Your blog is gorgeous!! Emma Block’s artwork is lovely. Thanks for commenting.

Thank you so much Jennifer! I live in Maple Ridge, about 30 minutes outside of Vancouver proper. I had the opposite adjustment to make: from snow to rain! LOL. I do miss my East Coast autumns, but Vancouver has been very good to me. I love having a constant few of snow peaked mountains.
