News & Notes

rp_inspyrs2.jpgHello dear readers!

The Christmas season, my eldest’s 18th birthday, and time away with my family have all contributed to things being a little quiet around here! Sorry about that. I truly hope you have been able to rest, relax, and enjoy your family over the past few days.

Here’s the latest happenings…

INSPY Awards

INSPY Awards 2016 are here. As a founding board member, it’s hard to believe so many years have passed since we launched the first set of awards. We have made a few tweaks to the program this year to make things more manageable and you can find all the info you need here on those changes. I hope you will nominate your favourite books from 2015 – click here to join in the fun and nominate before nominations close on January 16th!

Freebies

Digital copies of Becky Wade’s Undeniably Yours, Lynette Eason’s When the Smoke Clears, and Dani Pettrey’s Submerged are currently free (not in Australia, unfortunately) so grab the first books in their respective series while you can!

The Blog

I’m gearing up for a great 2016 on the blog with more terrific reads, great spotlights, intriguing interviews, weekly giveaways, and a special new project I think you will all enjoy being a part of. I hope to be able to share more with you soon. Most Tuesdays and Fridays there will be book giveaways – my special thanks goes to Bethany, Revell, and Tyndale who make the giveaways possible.

My Reading

As is my tradition, I’ll be posting my Top 10 Reads for 2015 on New Year’s Eve – it will be another challenging task!

That said, I’m also excited about 2016 releases and am highly anticipating many great reads, including these:

Just to name a few 😉

How about you? What reads are you looking forward to in 2016?

  4. Hello Rez! My oldest (daughter) turned 17 on Christmas. Birthdays during holidays make it an even busier time. I hope it was a special time for your daughter and family.

From your list of books above, I am also looking forward to The End of The World (Amy Matayo,) Under Scottish Stars (Carla Laureano,) A Season to Love (Nicole Deese,) and Her One and Only (Becky Wade.) Notice the contemporary romance theme in my choices? It’s my current trend, but I recently purchased Carry Me Home by Dorothy Adamek. I just had to have the paperback after your review on here. I’m crazy excited to finally read it.

In addition to the prior mentioned, I am looking forward to Back in the Saddle (Ruth Logan Herne,) Where She Belongs (Johnnie Alexander,) Close to You (Kara Isaac,) A Son’s Vow (Shelley Shepard,) Change of Heart (Courtney Walsh,) The Hearts We Mend (Kathryn Springer,) Amish Sweethearts (Leslie Gould,) and You’re the One That I Want (Susan May Warren.)

    • Terrill Rosado » Hi Terrill – happy birthday to your daughter. Yes, Christmas babies make a busy time a little more challenging, I agree! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Dorothy’s book – do let me know. I can’t believe I forgot Kara’s book. I’m so excited to read her novel.

      • I will, for sure, let you know after I’ve read it, Rel. It won’t be for a few weeks, because I have a few ARC’s that I’m committed to. Coincidentally, like Dorothy’s book, you also drew my attention to Kara Isaac’s book. 🙂

  5. Some of the books I’m looking forward to include: Just a Kiss and The Goodbye Bride (both by Denise Hunter), You’re the One That I Want by SM Warren, and Her One and Only by Becky Wade.

  6. Looking forward to some great reading in 2016. Your list contains many that I want to read. I am also looking forward to finding out more about your special project. Thanks for consistently excellent posts! 🙂

  7. Yay for another year of INSPYs! I cannot believe this begins Jamie’s and my 3rd year. That’s crazy – where does time go!?

Looking forward to your upcoming 2016 of blogging, Rel. Great list of anticipated novels! I’m enjoy Lynette’s very much and am definitely anticipating Nicole’s, Becky’s and Ronie’s. 🙂

  8. Thank you for including The Alliance, Rel! I so appreciate it. I’m looking forward to reading The Feathered Bone, too. Julie is one of my dearest author friends.
