The Cupcake Dilemma: A Rock Creek Novella by Jennifer Rodewald

Synopsis:~

My name is Kirstin Hill. I’m a simple girl trying to figure out life in a small town. There are a few things you should know about me before we begin. I grew up in the city. I’m a teacher, a first-year teacher (some of you understand that significance). And finally, when it comes to cooking, I’m a disaster. Maybe none of those things seem story worthy, but trust me—I have a story. I call it The Cupcake Dilemma, and it literally changed my life. How? I’m glad you asked.

It all started with an extra assignment delegated to me at school right before Valentine’s Day… But before we get too far, let me begin by stating this clearly. I was voluntold.

My take:~

Charming, joyful, and romantic, The Cupcake Dilemma is the perfect antidote to a day that hasn’t quite gone to plan, or any day that ends in ‘y’! Jennifer Rodewald’s first person voice is simply delightful as newcomer Kristen negotiates a new town, a class full of first graders, an impossible task, and a handsome baker determined to cure her ineptness in the kitchen. Witty and sweet, I smiled from beginning to end, and happily recommend it to every reader who delights in an irresistibly fun and flirty read.

I purchased my own copy of this novella

  4. I read this review the other day and immediately bought the book. I just finished it last night and am so sad that it’s over. I LOVED this book!!! Rel, thank you for introducing me to a new favorite author. I’m off to see if there are more in this series 🙂

  5. I didn”t make it to Pompeii on my last trip to Italy, but I definitely want to next time. I split my time in big cites and smaller towns and it was really, really nice to get out of the hustle of a big town and I found that in a lot of the smaller towns, they might get busy during the day, but the nights are pretty blissful. It definitely allows for a different look at cities that are mostly just visited for a few hours.
