It started with a wonderful breakfast with the DEBs crew ~ Beth Vogt, Olivia Newport, Katie Ganshert, and Dani Pettrey. We missed our fabulous Kelli Standish, though ๐ Lots to share and laugh about, along with some vegemite tasting but only one of the four thought our national spread was palatable! I have some great photos of the taste testing to share with you all on my return although Katie might not speak to me again ๐
Breakfast was followed up with the first of my 19 author interviews for the day…yep, 19! I know, I know, what on earth was I thinking?! Every author was so gracious, delightful, and entertaining and it was such a privilege to meet with each of them. I can’t wait to share the audio of our interviews, and the video of their “Mad Minute” with you all, when I get back home.
I squeezed in lunch with Tosca Lee and Ronie which was lovely and bumped in to the one and only Frank Peretti! Such a delightfully humble man. And yes, there are more photos to come.
My interviews continued in the afternoon and it was soon on to an event with the fantastic people at Thomas Nelson, then on to the fun and outrageous MBT (My Book Therapy) Pizza night where I saw Susie May Warren and Jim Rubart as never seen before ๐
Supper with my wonderful roomie, Ronie, and the lovely Dineen Miller ended a great day.
I’m so appreciating your comments – sorry that I just don’t have the time to respond at the moment, but I will!
More fun to report on soon!

Loving these daily updates, Rel.
DEBs? What’s that stand for? Or is it secret society stuff so only those in the know are supposed to know?
What an amazing day, can’t wait for the video/audio when you return down under. Will be compulsory viewing/listening. And just think you have another full day of it tomorrow, then the gala. What a blast that will be.
Take care, my friend.

The Debs stands for the four of us — Katie Ganshert, Olivia Newport, Dani Pettrey, and me (Beth Vogt). We all debuted as novelists in May 2012, and had a wonderful, one of a kind online launch thanks to Rel and Kelli Standish.

The “debuts” of course. Thanks Beth for the clarification.

Ian ยป The Debutantes, actually, Ian. You could not find a better group of women to spend time with. Each of the girls are absolute delights!

Dear Rel, I’m so glad you’re having a wonderful time. It seems as if you’ve been very busy. I really hope everyone in America is making a good impression LOL! I wish I was there to get to meet with you and all the great authors and chat books and other fun things. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. ๐

Renee C. ยป Yes, I was SO busy. I just wanted to make every moment count, which I did, but it’s impossible to do everything you want in that short time. I wish you had been there, too. You would have LOVED it xo

I’d probably baulk too if you force-fed me Vegemite – can’t stand it myself. My mum likes it and all through growing up I could never get used to it – even tried mixing it with honey to make it easier to digest, but noooo.
Marmite, however, is a different story. I first tried it as an adult, and found that it tasted so much different to Vegemite, even though they are both similar yeast spreads. So I LOVE my Marmite on toast. Vogels toast, to be exact. Both Kiwi fare ๐

Ellie Whyte ยป Marmite…makes me shudder!! My hubby and girls like Vegemite and Promite! I’m just a Vegemite girl, myself!

Rissi ยป It was the BEST! I knew they were amazing women but meeting them in person confirmed it a thousand times over! Thanks for sharing my joy xo
