Thought I’d do a little newsy post on some exciting happenings in the book world!
My dear friend, the gorgeous Dorothy Adamek, has launched her Facebook Author page as she gets ready to release her debut novel, a wonderful historical romance set in Australia. Set in a beautiful place called Phillip Island, about an hour and a half from my home, well known for its Fairy penguins and the almost equally famous Hemsworth brothers! The photos above give you a little hint about the story and location!
I’ll be sharing lots more about Dotti’s novel in the weeks to come but be sure to head over and LIKE her FB page so you will hear all the release news first. I can’t tell you how excited I am for you to read Dotti’s novel.

The wonderfully talented Kristen Heitzmann has just released the cover art of her first indie novel, set to release in November, 2015. Having had the privilege and pleasure of reading this novel, I can recommend it HIGHLY!
Told You So
From the minute Grace Evangeline throws her sweet tea in Devin Bressard’s face, their battle of wits and cross-purposes overtakes their lives. Sassy “angelic” Grace Evangeline will stop at nothing to see her romance novel produced for Broadway. Devin Bressard knows all about the commercial success of Ms. Evangeline’s “novels”—as far from his literary, thought-provoking plays as anything could be.
Grace intends to pull his head out of the rarified air long enough to make her point, even if it involves stalking him and infiltrating his friends and colleagues. It’s research, after all. Devin knows she’s trouble, but who would guess the spokesperson for strength and virtue would be a calamity vortex? He mounts a fierce resistance, but when he’s forced to work with Grace, his profession and sanity aren’t the only things at risk. Collapsing walls on both sides bring a détente that could shatter their bond—or resound through more lives than their own.

Becky Wade’s lovely wedding novella has hit the digital shelves and it’s well worth getting to know Josh and Holly – this is such a fun story. Be on the lookout for a terrific giveaway she will be running soon to celebrate!
Love in the Details
Eight years have passed since Holly last saw her high school sweetheart Josh. Now the wedding of Josh’s best friend has brought Josh back to Martinsburg, Texas. His duties as best man and Holly’s as the church’s volunteer wedding coordinator link them together. As they work behind-the-scenes to plan a beautiful November wedding for their friends, they’re forced to confront painful reminders of what might have been.
Holly broke up with Josh all those years ago in an attempt to ensure his future success. However, she never told him the true reason behind her actions and now must decide whether to keep her secret hidden. She’s terrified of letting herself fall for him because she barely managed to piece her life back together after losing him the last time.
Not a day’s gone by since Josh parted from Holly that he hasn’t thought about her. The pain of the past eight years has been too much to bear and he doesn’t want to make himself vulnerable to her again. But the more time he spends with her, the harder it is to deny the love he still has for her.

Carla Laureano has shared her gorgeous cover art for the final story in her MacDonald Family trilogy. I can’t wait to read this story, especially now I have selected the second book, London Tides, for my Book Club’s final selection for 2015.
Under Scottish Stars
A second chance at love…on the lush Isle of Skye
Recently widowed Serena MacDonald Stewart focuses solely on her children—to the exclusion of career, artistic pursuits, and her sanity. When her brothers ask her to use her long-ignored business skills to oversee the family guest house on the Isle of Skye, she thinks it might be a chance for a new start. But her hopes for a smooth transition are dashed when the current hotel manager, Malcolm Blake, turns out to be irritating, condescending … and incredibly attractive.
This is your invitation into a sparkling Scottish romance brimming with heart and heat.

I think I’m most excited for Carla Laureano’s new book release. I love Becky Wade, but I prefer longer books to novellas. I can’t dismiss Dorothy Adamek’s and Kristen Heitzmann’s books, because I know I will want to read them. I’m just not familiar. Although, I have heard great things about Kristen Heitzmann’s books and I prefer contemporary fiction. Especially romantic comedies.

Kristen and Dorothy write terrific stories, Terrill!
If you love contemporary fiction, Kristen is your go-to girl, for sure.

I love Kristen’s books and have read some twice. I also have read Carla’s Five Days in Skye twice, plus everything else she has written. I haven’t read the other author, but I will! I can’t wait for Kristen’s and Carla’s new books.

I think you will love them all, Susan 🙂

Well I must say based on the photos posted for Dorothy Adamek’s book . . . visiting Australia is now officially on my “Bucket List” – YOWZAA!!!! And you’re saying Rel, that Phillip’s Island is near your home? Want to do a little house swapping?? I’ll trade ya my place in Florida for yours near this piece of paradise – name the date – the key is under the mat!! And if I wasn’t already married (for 30 years) – that wedding dress for Becky Wade’s book would be on my “must. find. this. dress.” to-do list – absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! And – I’ve not read anything by Carla Laureano – but based on your blog and then doing a little kindle research, I’ve downloaded her “Five Days in Skye” for a little pleasant weekend read – sounds promising. Thanks for keeping us apprised of what’s happening in the book world!!
November 2, 2015 at 2:16 pm
Oh, I hope you enjoy Carla’s novel, Pam – I certainly did.
Come on over…I’ll take you for a weekend to Phillip Island 😉
