Welcome to another First Line Friday, hosted by Hoarding Books. Suzanne Woods Fisher is a talented writer and a dog whisperer!! While penning novels, she also raises and cares for puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, a life changing gift for those people who are blind or have low vision. Love that! Suzanne is well known for her Amish novels, but the book I’m featuring today is the second in her Three Sisters Island contemporary romance series, On a Coastal Breeze. I had hoped to have read the first book, On a Summer Tide, before now but I hope to rectify that soon. Or maybe I’ll just wait until all three books are released and read them together!
Once again, I’m grateful to the wonderful folk at Revell Books for the copy we are giving away today. Be sure to enter below.
First Line
Love how this first line introduces the leading lady and informs us a little about who she is and what she’s planning to do!
The Book
For Madison Grayson, life is good. Newly licensed as a marriage and family therapist, she can’t wait to start her practice. Despite the unfortunate shortage of eligible bachelors on the island–they’re all too young, too old, or too weird–Maddie feels like she’s finally found her sweet spot. Not even one panic attack in the last year. Not one.
And then Ricky O’Shea drops in. Literally. Floating down from the pure blue sky, the one man in the world she hoped never to see again–the one who’d been her archnemesis from kindergarten through her senior dance–parachutes into town, landing on Boon Dock, canopy draping behind him like a superhero. Ricky O’Shea. Now Pastor Rick, the new minister on Three Sisters Island.
Time to panic.
With wit and a bit of whimsy, bestselling author Suzanne Woods Fisher invites you back to Three Sisters Island where family, forgiveness, and a second chance at love await.
Suzanne Woods Fisher is an award-winning, bestselling author of more than two dozen novels, including Phoebe’s Light, Minding the Light, the Amish Beginnings series, The Bishop’s Family series, and The Inn at Eagle Hill series, as well as nonfiction books about the Amish, including Amish Peace and The Heart of the Amish. She’d enjoyed her food and that gave him a sense of pride he had no right to feel.” Enjoy your weekend!

Isn’t that a fantastic line? The novel is filled with lines like this. So good!

I have an older sister and a younger brother. My sister lives in the same area and we go to the same church. My brother lives several states away, and we usually get to see him three or four times a year.
