Then Came You by Becky Wade ~ Audiobook Review

Given my newish love of audiobooks, I am adding them to my review lineup! If you haven’t tried listening to a book, I highly recommend it. Audiobooks weren’t on my radar at all until a few years ago when I fell in love with Tamara Leigh’s excellent audiobooks and now they are all I listen to when I am in the car.

Angela Hunt: This or That (with giveaway)

The Writer & her Book (16)

I’m a long time fan of Angela Hunt’s fiction and have most of her books. Her stories always challenge me to think and they are so engaging. My sentimental favourites are her Heirs of Cahira O’Connor series. I also loved The Canopy, Legacies of the Ancient River, and the Fairlawn series. Over the years, I have chosen many as book club selections as they have so much substance to discuss and ponder. I’m delighted to feature Angela here once again and hope you enjoy getting to know her better. Be sure to enter below for your chance to win

Suzanne Fisher Woods: Fast Favourites (with giveaway)

The Writer & her Book (17)

Over the past decade, Suzanne Woods Fisher has become a renowned author, particularly known for her Amish novels, and now with over thirty books to her name. What you may not know about is Suzanne’s involvement with breeding puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind!  Not that I’m biased in any way – I just happen to have a black labrador called Sherlock who is the best pooch in the whole world – but isn’t that fabulous?!

Suzanne’s latest novel, Phoebe’s Light, the first in her new series focuses on the Quakers of colonial-era Nantucket Island. Be sure to

Synopsis:~

My name is Kirstin Hill. I’m a simple girl trying to figure out life in a small town. There are a few things you should know about me before we begin. I grew up in the city. I’m a teacher, a first-year teacher (some of you understand that significance). And finally, when it comes to cooking, I’m a disaster. Maybe none of those things seem story worthy, but trust me—I have a story. I call it The Cupcake Dilemma, and it literally changed my life. How? I’m glad you asked.

It all started with an extra assignment delegated

Francine Rivers: This or That (with giveaway)

The Writer & her Book (15)

When you have been reading novels written by Christian authors for as long as I have – let’s just say for many, many decades – Francine Rivers is more than a notable Christian author. Many of her books have changed my perspective and strengthened my faith. I own all her titles, the original editions as well as more recent. I’m attaching a photo below of some of my Rivers collection, just for fun. Her Mark of the Lion series and The Atonement Child are my favourites amongst her wonderful back list of books. If you haven’t read her books, be
