My take:~
I love this series…and Charlie Benson. I adored this book…and Charlie Benson. Jenny B. Jones has a particular gift writing warm, authentic, pithy, and enveloping stories. And have I mentioned Charlie Benson?! This Katie Parker Production story fills in the gaps from when Katie leaves high school in The Big Picture and catching a plane home at the beginning of Can’t Let You Go. The story is Katie’s journey through the challenges, pitfalls, and dramas of her first year at college, perfect for high school and college students, as well as readers like me, well past those years but still vivid in my memories. Katie’s support network all feature – her loving parents, her nutty yet devoted grandma Maxine, boyfriend Tate, and the elusive Charlie, who captivated me in every one of his scene! Like every JBJ book I have had the pleasure to read, Something to Believe In delights, engages, and entertains, making it a truly joyous read despite the heartache our beloved Katie continues to experience in her early young adult years. I can’t wait for the final act to come!
With thanks to the author for my copy. My opinions remain my own and I was not obligated in any way to read this book. But it’s Jenny B. Jones! How could I not?!
Award-winning author Jenny B. Jones writes romance, mystery, and YA with sass and Southern charm. Since she has very little free time, Jenny believes in spending her spare hours in meaningful, intellectual pursuits, such as watching bad TV, Tweeting deep thoughts to the world, and writing her name in the dust on her furniture. Jenny is a foster care advocate, an animal rescuer, and mother of one beautiful boy.
