Yes, I’ve been absent for a few days caring for my thirteen year old girl whose appendix decided to play hide and seek for a week before being removed yesterday. Those who have hung around my blog long enough will know that my eldest girl’s appendix ruptured a couple of years ago, strangely enough when she was exactly the same age! We are thinking of booking our 9 year old in for surgery in a four years time just to be sure – LOL!!
So, I don’t have the energy to write a review today, although I’ve been reading some great books and will be sharing reviews of them soon when I find myself with a bit more time and a lot more rest! For today, check these things out:
Firstly, do yourself a favour and head on over to my friend Casey Herringshaw’s blog to check out my latest Hero in the Making post ~ this time my hero is Ronie Kendig’s enigmatic spook, Dane Markoski, from her military romantic thriller, Talon. Discover what books Dane has on his bookshelf and his biggest fear.
Secondly, I’m just going to share the cover of a book that is one of my must, must, must read books! The Kindling by the fabulous Tamara Leigh is the fourth instalment in Tammy’s brilliant Age of Faith ebook series that I can’t recommend enough. Tammy has an incredible gift for writing medieval fiction and she is one of the very few authors that I will drop everything for to read! While I don’t have a synopsis yet, this is warrior Abel Wulfrith’s story, whom we have met in previous stories as a courageous, dedicated, and ruthless defender of his family, who would only be caught dead without a sword, and even then it would only be because someone had chopped off his sword hand! A healer, Helene of Tippet, returns to Castle Soaring at the request of Abel’s brother, yet she does so with great reluctance and not a small measure of fear.
If I’ve peaked your interest, even a little, you can read a lengthy excerpt of this story over at Tammy’s website and I’ll let her writing speak for itself. Enjoy the cover – the model is a perfect representation of Helene as she is described in previous book, The Redeeming, which I love!

Hi Aaron! I would love to release this series in paperback. The readership has increased significantly with the release of each book so, hopefully, I’ll be able to put them out in physical form before too long. With the exception of The Unveiling, which is exclusive to Kindle for another 3 weeks, the other books (and Dreamspell) are now available for Nook, IBook, and Kobo. Thank you for your interest. Have a lovely day.
