Coming soon from Zondervan ~ A Year of Weddings

BrideCollage

Here are some covers that are sure to please the romantics among us, and those that love flowers, and those contemplating weddings, or dreaming about them ~ in otherwords, pretty much anyone who enjoys a good love story!!

Zondervan is releasing one Bride book a month digitally but those of you who aren’t fans of ebooks, don’t despair ~ commencing in November, 2014 print collections will be released every three months, commencing with Winter Brides which will include A December Bride, A January Bride, and A February Bride.

The authors writing this series are pretty spectacular when it comes to penning love stories so I’m looking forward to these little gems! And readers of Rachel’s Royal Weddings series will be thrilled that A March Bride is Nathaniel and Susanna’s wedding story.

As for covers, I think the designers have done a spectacular job ~ simple, eye-catching, with great continuity. I adore flowers so they all look great to me but I think my favourite is Meg’s ~ love the colours and unique floral arrangement. Deborah’s too, I love white roses! It did catch my eye that of all the bride’s hands you can see, only Deborah’s is without an engagement/wedding ring ~ not sure if that was intentional or not.

So, what do you think of this idea for a series? Like the ebook then later paper release? Which ones catch your eye?

A December BrideA December Bride by Denise Hunter

Happily ever after begins today. The honor of your presence is requested at a December wedding.

What started as a whim turned into an accidental—and very public—engagement. Can Layla and Seth keep up the facade in Chapel Springs this holiday season—for the sake of her career . . . and his heart?

Under normal circumstances, Seth Murphy—the best friend of Layla O’Reilly’s ex-fiance—would be the last person she’d marry. But the news of their upcoming (and phony) nuptials convinces a big client that Layla may be high-society enough to work for his agency—a coup that would put her fledgling home-staging business on the map.

Seth has secretly loved Layla for years, even when she was dating his best friend. Maybe she’ll never forgive him for the way he hurt her back then, but he has to try. And Layla is willing to keep up their engagement farce until she’s landed her client.

For Layla, it’s the chance to save her career. But for Seth, it’s his last chance to win her heart.

  1. Decapitations galore! Actually, I like the concept for the covers and for the entire collection. They are very girly, but that is proper for these stories. The ebook novellas to later releases as collections in traditional book formats seem to be working as others are releasing. My favorite of the covers is Deb’s. I like the side view and the white against the black background. I also really like Denise’s. The red roses really pop to me. Thanks as always, Rel.

  2. Thanks so much for this post, Rel. I love my cover too, and I found a way to work those specific flowers into the plot. It was so much fun to write.

  3. I like that they are releasing them individually, as well as, a combined novel. If I just want one of the stories I don’t have to buy the whole book. The covers are pretty good. I’m glad that they have different styles of wedding dresses and haven’t made them all strapless.

  4. Brilliant idea!! Look forward to reading them all!

  5. Oooooh, I love me some romance! 😉

I think my favorite cover is An April Bride – I love purple, and those colors and everything are simply lovely. But I agree with you, Rel, that Meg’s is also awesome and very whimsical!

  6. With so many cheesy covers out there, these are refreshing! I love that each bouquet is different — not just roses. It gives them each a unique feel while still tying them together. Nice! Thanks for sharing these, Rel. xo

  7. Ooo! So lovely. You’re right, Rel. The simplicity of these makes them stand out. Love them all. Plus I didn’t know these were coming to paperback eventually – that’s awesome! Now I’ll get to read all about Susanna and Nate’s wedding. 🙂

    Meg’s *IS* pretty. Those colors…

  8. These are beautiful covers. I KNOW I’ve read Deb Raney’s story but can’t think where. It didn’t have this title. Is this a re-release for her?

  9. I love Megs flowers they are pretty. I also love the red roses they really do pop out.
Not a big fan of only white bouquets. (it comes from mums dislike of them I think) I like a little colour with them.
    looks like a cool series.

  10. This covers make the hopeless romantic in me *very* happy.

  11. I love Lenora’s flowers!!! That’s my absolute favorite style and color combo. Meg’s is a close second.

  12. Meg and Lenora’s get my vote. Love the succulents in Meg’s and the color in Lenora’s. I really like the white bouquets from Deb and Rachel, too.
