Cover Art Reveal: Coming soon from Tyndale House

Tyndale2016Just a few releases from Tyndale in the latter part of this year.

The first novel for non-fiction writer, Beth Moore, has an intriguing title but I’m a bit conflicted with the cover. I love that it is different from the usual Christian flair but it doesn’t tell me anything about the story inside.

The Occupied, on the other hand, communicates a suspense/thriller tale and I do like that there are no people on it. Janice Cantore’s continues with the same cover theme as the previous covers in the series – love the title and the background…the people, not so …

Are you a re-reader? Why, or why not? And if you are, what are some of the books you have read over and over?

I definitely re-read! I just moved, and as I unpacked my “keeper” books, I couldn’t resist reading some favorite passages. I have a totally beat-up copy of Jo’s Boys by Louisa May Alcott, Dawn’s Early Light by Elswyth Thane, The Dedicated Villain by Patricia Veryan, The Atonement Child by Francine Rivers, Friday’s Child by Georgette Heyer, and an embarrassing stack of others. When I was a …

Are you a re-reader? Why, or why not? And if you are, what are some of the books you have read over and over?

I scored an early copy from her super kind publicist and read it back in January and have already read it a second time. I’ve reread Christy by Catherine Marshall about a million times. I could reread Susan May Warren’s Sons of Thunder once …

“What if?”

Isn’t that where every idea starts? It’s certainly what keeps me writing.

When I first proposed writing Amish historical novels, the idea was three books. The Amish Turns of Time series would include three novels set in the 1910s exploring three different issues in Amish history. Wonderful Lonesome, Meek and Mild, and Brightest and Best came to be. The Amish Turns of Time series was complete. Ah. A sigh of satisfaction.

But I had more ideas. (That’s sort of an occupational hazard, actually.) And my publisher was interested in …
