I fell in love with Serena Chase’s lyrical and exciting stories with the first two tomes in her Eyes of E’veria series so I’m delighted to announce the arrival of book 3, The Seahorse Legacy. I have one word for you who have read her previous books ~ CAZIEN!!! Those of you who haven’t read them, then you must. While you don’t need to have read The Ryn and The Remedy to delight in The Seahorse Legacy, it certainly won’t hurt and you’ll be glad you did!
a Pirate
bound by a centuries-old oath
a Knight
determined to prove her calling
a Legacy
demanding surrender
As Keeper of the Seahorse Legacy, Cazien de Pollis is a King among pirates, divinely appointed to dispense justice on the seas. Bound by the sacred oath of a long-dead ancestor, he must fulfill a contract to wed the green-eyed Oracle’s Daughter named therein—or risk losing everything he and his people hold dear. But at nineteen, with the identity of his betrothed only recently revealed, Cazien resents the contract—and the urgency within him to see it satisfied.
Erielle de Gladiel returned from the quest for the Remedy, changed. Not only are her formerly-blue eyes now a brilliant shade of green, but she must don gloves to hide inky evidence that her prophetically-bestowed title, the Oracle’s Daughter, demands more from her than the task already completed. Erielle’s dearest-held dream is realized when she is knighted by her King, but unbeknownst to her, that very honor jeopardizes the prophesied purpose to which she and Cazien have been called.
Just as Cazien summons the courage to collect his bride, dark rumors and darker deeds crawl up the coasts, calling its guardians, the Seahorse Pirates, into action—and Cazien away from Erielle. But even though the Oracle’s Daughter knows nothing of the contract to which she has been consigned, Cazien’s enemies have somehow learned of his interest in Erielle. And if they reach her before his ancestor’s weighty oath is executed, the Seahorse Legacy will be forfeited . . . and darkness will be given reign.
Subtly paying homage to several classic tales including Peter Pan, Robin Hood, The Little Mermaid, Much Ado About Nothing, and even The Three Little Bears, THE SEAHORSE LEGACY begins an epic re-imagining of the classic Grimm fairy tale, The Twelve Dancing Princesses which will conclude in Eyes of E’veria, Book 4: THE SUNKEN REALM.

Jack Sparrow is my favorite pirate. Why? I think I just really liked those movies they were fun and when watch them they take me to a happy place.

I believe there is supposed to be a “Captain” preceding Jack Sparrow… HA! I love him too. And Pirates of the Caribbean is my FAVE ride at DisneyWorld, too. I love it!

Alexander Hyde, the Pirate Earl in the most recent book by MaryLu Tyndall “The Ransom”. He’s a trying to be a bad boy to re-pay his godly parents for their absence in his life, but he is really blaming God for the rejection he feels. Once he realizes that God never left him, this strong, handsome and swoon-worthy man becomes even more lovable.

Ooooh! Amy, I just read that book and I love Alex, too! I think you might enjoy Cazien… although his piracy is a different sort… 😉 Don’t want to give anything away, but… he’s not going to stop being a pirate. (Not if he can help it, anyway.) 😉 Thanks for dropping by!

I’m looking forward to reading this series since I haven’t read it before! I haven’t read any pirate stories, but I’m sure I would enjoy it!

Laura, I’ll be excited to hear what you think of the series! It is a little odd, in that Eyes of E’veria books are a little like a series-within-a-series. Each 2-book set is its own tale with its own main characters. Books 1&2 retell the Grimm fairytale SNOW WHITE & ROSE RED in an epic fantasy style, whereas Boos 3&4 feature Cazien & Erielle (minor characters in the first 2 books, now the leads) and give that epic treatment to Grimm’s THE TWELVE DANCING PRINCESSES while paying homage to several other tales along the way. 🙂 Books 3 & 4 are a lot more adventure & action-driven than the first two books, which were as much inner-journey as outer. I hope you enjoy them all!

That cover is absolutely epic! And a retelling of The twelve dancing princesses + the little Mermaid? I can’t wait to see what you’ve done with those stories for this book!
And I love the Title of book 4 too. Do you have any idea when that one will be coming out? And will there be more books after 4? I am so loving this series. And I’ve only read the first book!
